FA CUP FIRST ROUND DRAW COMING UP

BARNSLEY are due to find out their opponents for the FA Cup first round on Monday of next week.

The final qualifying round games are due to take place across the weekend.

The draw will take place at approximately 6.30pm on TNT Sports One.

The first round is scheduled for the weekend of October 31-November 2.

The Reds reached the second round last season but lost on penalties to Bristol Rovers at Oakwell.

FIVE STRAIGHT WINS FOR U18S

Barnsley under 18s won 2-1 at home to Preston North End in the PDL Cup on Saturday.

Josh Heyes and Charlie Price scored for the young Reds who have won their last five games.

They are now due to visit Hull City on Saturday.

Barnsley under 21s are due to play at home to Peterborough United on Tuesday from 1pm on the main pitch.

MCGOLDRICK LATEST INJURY ISSUE

David McGoldrick has been added to the injury list of Barnsley players going into the international break.

The 37-year-old striker was named on the bench on Saturday at Wycombe Wanderers, having started every other league game this season.

But he did not take part in the warm-ups or come off the bench as he was nursing a ‘little bit of a groin issue’.

Head coach Conor Hourihane said his replacement Reyes Cleary would probably have played in the game anyway.

There is no timescale yet on when he might be fully fit again.

Vimal Yoganathan was not on the bench at the weekend, having picked up a knock in the EFL Trophy game at Notts County four days earlier.

Marc Roberts and Georgie Gent are expected to be closer to a return once the international break is over.

Hourihane has previously suggested centre-back Roberts could have a chance of being on the bench at Bradford City on October 18 if training goes well.
