BARNSLEY under 18s sailed through to the second round of the FA Youth Cup with a convincing 5-0 win at Macclesfield on Monday night.

The young Reds, coached by Nicky Eaden, took the lead in the 49th minute as Chrysolite Ogbu scored from close range.

Seven minutes later and Barnsley doubled their lead as Noah Town volleyed in at the back post.

Robson Woodcock scored Barnsley’s third and then Arley Kay - son of ex-Red Antony - made it 4-0 with ten minutes to play.

The scoring was rounded off in the 84th minute as Ogbu scored his second and Barnsley’s fifth with a stunning strike into the top corner.
