BROADCASTING icon John Sergeant will be in Barnsley next month for a special ‘an evening with’ event at the Civic.

The 81-year-old has interviewed some of the biggest names in British public life, including Prime Ministers Margaret Thatcher, John Major, and Tony Blair.

His wit, warmth, and sharp insight have made him a household name.

In later life he took to more light-hearted entertainment appearing on shows such as Have I Got News For You and Strictly Come Dancing.

He’ll be the subject of ‘an audience with’ event at Barnsley Civic on November 26.

A spokesperson for the Civic said: “Following the show, ticket holders will have the rare opportunity to meet John in person in the Panorama Bar.

“This exclusive meet and greet is your chance to say hello, take a photo and share a moment with one of Britain’s most recognisable and well-loved broadcasters.”

More information can be found on the Civic’s website.
