REYES Cleary said it felt 'great' to score and register two assists on Saturday - but is now hoping to add even more going forward.

The 21-year-old scored the first before setting up Patrick Kelly for Barnsley's second and playing through Davis Keillor-Dunn to complete the rout in a 5-0 win at the weekend.

He's now scored scored three and assisted three in the five League One games he's started.

Cleary told the Chronicle: "I feel great.

"Obviously I've been working on a few things during the international break and it just paid off.

"I was speaking to the manager and obviously I got the assist against Doncaster, but I just wanted to add more stats to my game.

"We've found a platform to just getting closer to the goal.

"I know I can beat my man 1v1, but it's now more narrower runs closer to the goal."

Cleary said he's been speaking with some of the more senior players in the dressing room to help him moving forward.

He added: "I think In the last two weeks me and Davo have been building a relationship.

"I get an understanding where he knows as soon as I get the ball out wide, it's coming into the box.

"So I think me and him are starting to build a relationship more.

"Luton are a good team.

"So I think that fourth goal was needed because if they scored, then it could have been a different game."

And Saturday was Barnsley's first clean sheet in the league at Oakwell since February.

He said: "Obviously we set the press but the defence were solid.

"I've got to give them praise for that."
