WATH RUFC are 13 points clear in the top two of Yorkshire Division One after a 40-0 win at home to third-placed Keighley.

Wath are second with eight wins, six points off leaders Dinnington who have won all game games.

Ryan Burrows scored the first two tries then Luke Stead, Anthony Davies, Ben Cairns and Pat Selkirk went over.

Jack Whitlam kicked six of the seven conversion attempts.

Wath are not due to play again until January 3.

Barnsley lost 57-7 at Yorkshire Division Three leaders Wheatley Hills.

They are now seventh, nine points clear of the bottom two and 16 off the top two.

They will not play again until they are due to host lowly Hornsea on January 3.

Dearne Valley lost 19-13 at home to Rotherham Phoenix.

Ben Roebuck scored a try with Steve Shaw adding a conversion as well as two penalties.

The third straight loss leaves them last, five points adrift in the bottom two.

Barnsley Ladies lost 81-0 Buckingham Swans in Championship One North.

That leaves them with two wins and seven losses from nine games which is the halfway point.

They are a place and six points clear of the bottom two.

Wortley lost 25-24 in the Yorkshire Division Four basement battle at Knottingley.

Wortley stay 12 points ahead of Knottingley who have been given points deductions.

They are the only Barnsley team with a fixture left in 2025 as they are due to host York RI on Saturday.
