Athersley Rec stunned visitors Worsbrough Bridge with a 2-1 win in a Barnsley derby.
Bridge were third and unbeaten in 15 but lost to Rec who ended a nine-match winless run.
Kane Reece and James Woodhouse put the hosts in control then Juninho Blake replied.
Worsbrough are now 13 points behind leaders Dearne and District with three games in hand while Rec are two places and three points clear of the drop zone.
Bridge had won 4-0 at Dinnington Town in their Sheffield Senior Cup quarter-final on Tuesday of last week.
Lloyd Smith, Arista Llewellyn, Liam Flanagan and Josh Brown scored.
Dearne and District won 2-1 at home to Maltby Main on Saturday.
The visitors scored just after half-time but Jamie Austin netted on 82 and 90 minutes.
They are 12 points clear in the only automatic promotion place but second-placed Harrogate Railway have five games in hand.
They are now in a 21-day break from games before visiting bottom club Glasshoughton Welfare on January 17.
