CHINA youth international Xu Bin helped Barnsley under 21s to a 4-2 win over Fleetwood Town on Tuesday, 17 days after playing in the Asian Under 23 cup final.
The 21-year-old midfielder signed on loan during the January transfer window from Premier League Wolverhampton Wanderers who he moved to days earlier from Qingdao West Coast.
He has represented his country at under 23 level 17 times, including throughout the Asian Cup last month in Saudi Arabia in which he started the 4-0 loss to Japan in the final.
Also playing against Fleetwood were January signing Charlie Lennon plus Georgie Gent who is continuing to build up his fitness after injury issues.
The scorers were Feyi Afuape, Luke Alker, Stanley Holder and Maximilian Gryncewicz.
They are now due to visit Huddersfield next Tuesday.
Barnsley under 18s’ game at Wigan on Saturday was called off. They are due to host Coventry City on Friday from 1pm.
