TEN local youngsters embarked on the magical trip of a lifetime to pursue their passion for performing.
In February, ten Stagecoach Performing Arts Barnsley and Penistone pupils travelled to Disneyland Paris.
In the trip, the entertainment team took part in the ‘Behind the Magic’ programme.
This was an exclusive opportunity to train with Disney professionals and gain behind-the-scenes insight into the world of professional performance.

Out of the participants, ten pupils were from Barnsley, out of 26 pupils from South Yorkshire, making up the 52 students that took part from across the country.
Led by their proud Principal, Hannah Plummer-Walsh, the group stepped into the intensive four-day programme - designed to show them what it truly takes to perform at one of the most iconic entertainment destinations in the world.
The pupils’ hard work culminated in a final performance piece, proudly presented at the end of the programme alongside the Beauty and the Beast.
One of the trip’s most powerful moments came when students took part in a mock audition with Disney’s casting team.
Standing in front of industry professionals, they experienced the nerves, pressure and excitement of a real audition - and rose to the occasion with courage and professionalism.
Throughout the experience, these ten young people demonstrated extraordinary dedication, supporting one another, embracing every challenge and representing their community with pride.
Hannah told the Chronicle about her pupils’ once in a lifetime trip.
She said: “I could not be prouder of the dedication, courage and teamwork they showed throughout this incredible four-day experience.
“They returned home not only with unforgettable memories, from world-class performances like The Rhythm of the Pride Lands to the magic of the parks.
“However, the pupils returned something far more powerful, belief in themselves and their potential.
“These students showed courage, commitment and ambition beyond their years.
“That is why they are not just talented performers, they are true Young Champions.”
