BARNSLEY are set to decide whether to recall loaned-out striker Leo Farrell late this week.
Farrell was sent out on a 28-day loan to National League promotion-chasers Scunthorpe United on February 28 so the Reds could recall him at the end of this week.
The 20-year-old has scored four goals in six games for Scunthorpe who host Rochdale on Wednesday.
Barnsley’s only senior strikers are David McGoldrick and Tom Bradshaw who picked up an injury last week.
Asked about Farrell, head coach Conor Hourihane told the Chronicle: “I think there will be a discussion around that.
“We’ve got a little bit of time to see how Tom Bradshaw’s scan comes back and then go from there.”
Luke Alker has returned from his loan at Alfreton in National League North.
