A DRUG and alcohol rehabilitation service has been praised following its latest Care Quality Commission inspection.
Linwood House, based on Wensley Road, cared for 25 clients at the time of the assessment.
The home provides residential alcohol and drug detoxification and rehabilitation to men and women over the age of 18.
It received a ‘good’ rating following the inspection by the healthcare watchdog.
A report states: “The service provided safe care.
“The environment was clean and well maintained, we witnessed enough staff to keep clients safe and enable clients to access specialists to meet their needs.
“Staff showed a good understanding of safeguarding and there was evidence of good, professional relationships with the local safeguarding team.
“Staff completed thorough, individualised risk assessments with clients and updated these regularly as well as when risks changed.
“Managers ensured that staff received training, supervision and appraisals.
“Feedback from clients about the services provided was very positive.
“Clients told us that they felt safe and that staff were ‘amazing’ and that ‘all staff were fantastic’.”
