A HIGH-ACHIEVING Penistone Grammar School pupil is a Jack of all trades.
Multi-talented Evie Mann keeps herself busy in and outside of school, juggling being a prefect, sports leader and partaking in dance and netball.
Despite only being in year nine, the 14-year-old has been hailed by her school as a top high-achieving pupil in both effort scores and grades.
Evie’s exceptional efforts have led to a Young Champions nomination, under the ‘Student of the Year’ category.
In her prefect duties Evie goes above and beyond working alongside the pupil leadership team, dedicating her own time to give a helping hand.
Not only running prefect house competitions that champion inclusivity and teach key leadership and teamwork skills Evie also helps out with events, open evenings and even fundraises alongside other prefects for Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Kind-hearted Evie also gives up her Thursday afternoons after school as a sports leader, mentoring primary school children.
Always one to challenge herself, Evie has also signed up for the school’s ‘world challenge’, where she will go up to Norway to kayak and work on team-building skills.
The busy teenager also enjoys dancing and playing netball, participating in after-school matches and playing rounders in summer.
Within school, Evie enjoys PE and English the most and has big dreams for when she leaves school. Hoping to continue her post-16 education at Penistone Grammar, Evie is aimiing to channel her love for exercise into becoming a sports physiotherapist.
The industrious pupil hopes to eventually take charge of her career, owning her own business and championing future clients.
Evie said: “I’ve really enjoyed school I’ve made good social connections and all of my teachers are supportive, especially Mr Williams our PE teacher.
“I want to end year 11 by hopefully becoming head girl after that I want to stay here for sixth form and hopefully become a sports physiotherapist.”
