BARNSLEY loanee Jackson Smith has been playing for Grimsby Town in the League Two play-offs.
The Mariners lost 2-1 at home to Salford City on Sunday – as Smith complained he was unsighted by an offside player for the winner – with the second leg on Friday.
The winners will face either Chesterfield or Notts County at Wembley in the play-off final.
Smith, 24, still has two years remaining on his Barnsley contract but was third choice stopper this season before being loaned out. He kept 13 clean sheets in 25 League Two games.
