A SPECIAL event featuring a nature presenter and ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Witch’ will be held at RSPB Old Moor later this month.

Ajay Tegala is a wildlife presenter, passionate about inspiring people to connect with the natural world around them.

He is a nature presenter on the National Trust’s Wild Tales podcast and has worked for the BBC on Springwatch.

Zoe Howe is an internationally published author, broadcaster, sometime musician and visual artist and is best known as a music biographer and Soho Radio’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Witch.

They will bring their show, Witching the Wild Year, to RSPB Old Moor on June 21.

Ajay said: “We’ve struck a natural balance between wildlife, folklore and magic.

“It’s been fascinating to unearth so many connections between seasonal spectacles in nature, not to mention the behaviours we see in nature that reflect the astrological seasons.”

Zoe added: “Yorkshire is full of natural magic, local folk customs and strange tales.

“We’re definitely going to be weaving some of those through our evening at the RSPB’s beautiful Old Moor nature reserve, a perfect place to celebrate the solstice.”
