Police are looking for two missing girls from Oswaldtwistle, one of whom has links with Barnsley.

Karla Dodd and Aneta Zakova, both 15, went missing from their homes at about 8pm on Saturday and it is believed they went missing together.

Karla is known to have links to Barnsley and Aneta may have travelled to the Greater Manchester area.

Karla did return the following day but went missing again later that evening and was last seen in Oswaldtwistle at about 8pm on Sunday.

She is described as white, of slim build, about five feet four inches tall with dark, collar length hair. She was wearing black leggings, a turquoise, Adidas hooded top and dark coloured Ugg boots.

Aneta is also white, of stocky build, around five feet inches tall with shoulder length, dark brown hair. She was wearing a black hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms.

Det Sgt Julie Cross said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for the girls’ welfare due to their young age.

“If anybody has any information about their current whereabouts or knows where they may have been since Saturday then I would urge them to contact us.”
