Christmas comes but once a year...unless you live in Elm Court, Worsbrough, when it can now be Christmassy all year round.
Residents of the sheltered housing scheme are feeling festive after Worsbrough Council planted them a Christmas tree.
Councillor John Clarke said: "Previously, we bought them a new tree every year but trees have been getting more expensive and were especially so in 2012.
This tree can be trimmed up just the same every year and have lights put on it. In fact, in previous years we installed an outdoor electricity supply to do things like that."
He thanked Barnsley Council's Neighbourhood Pride team who planted the tree free of charge.
