Television star Dean Andrews has joined footballers Ian Wright and John Salako on a 450k London to Paris bike ride.

Former Hoyland man Dean, who shot to fame for his role as DC Ray Carling in Life on Mars, was riding to raise money for blood cancer charity Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.

The ride, named 'London | Paris: Be Unstoppable', started in London's Greenwich Park yesterday.

Dean will also be joined by footballers Mitchell Thomas, and Geoff Thomas, a former England footballer, leukaemia survivor, and ambassador for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
