A pensioner from Swinton has died after two cars were involved in a collision in Rotherham.
Reginald Ensor, 82, from Swinton, was discharged from hospital after being treated for his injuries.
He was readmitted on September 19, but later died on September 24.
Mr Ensor's blue Citroen Picasso was in collision with a green Toyota Avensis on Kingsforth Lane, near to the junction with Sandy Lane on September 11 at about 10.50pm.
A 41-year-old Dinnington man was arrested on suspicion of being over the drink-drive limit and driving without insurance.
Nicholas Crane appeared at Rotherham Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or saw the cars beforehand.
