A 31-stone Ryhill man who was told by doctors he might not survive to see his grandchildren grow up has shed six stones in 12 weeks.
Children's entertainer, Andy Simpson, 44, underwent a gastric bypass operation and now weighs in at about 25 stone.
In August he had the controversial operation at York District Hospital and the Ryhill dad of two says he hasn’t felt better.
It was nothing for him to eat two pizzas in one sitting and he lived on a diet of chocolates, kebabs and pretty much anything else.
His stomach has been stapled and his smaller intestine plugged into his new stomach which means that he doesn’t absorb as many calories and fat and he isn’t as hungry anymore.
He no longer has blood pressure problems and much to the relief of his wife and next door neighbours he doesn’t snore anymore.
