THE Chronicle this week launches its fantastic search for the Face of Barnsley 2007.

Each year we are on the lookout for the best looking boy and girl in Barnsley - with bubbly personalities to match.

The competition offers two lucky youngsters a springboard to a possible career in modelling. Every entrant will appear in a special supplement next month, which comes free with the Chronicle.

Our panel of judges will select the best looking 50 - 25 boys and 25 girls - and then the rest is up to Chronicle readers.

Each of the last 50 will be given a unique number so readers can vote for their favourite and eventually ten finalists will be chosen. A finals party will be held in March at a top Barnsley venue. The top ten will be judged on looks and personality before one boy and one girl are crowned Face of Barnsley 2007.

Both winners will receive a superb package of prizes, including a session with professional photographers Stan Plus Stan 2, worth £365. More prizes will be announced soon.

• To enter the competition send a good quality recent photograph of yourself and entry form (available in the Chronicle) to Face of Barnsley 2007, Barnsley Chronicle Newsroom, 47 Church Street, Barnsley, S70 2AS.

Entrants must be aged 16 to 24 on February 23. If entrants want photographs returned, include a SAE.
