A community hall may be built at St John’s Church, Cudworth.
Father David Nicholson has submitted proposals to council planners which involve demolishing the parish rooms.
The proposed building, on the same site between the church and Ashfield House, will have a community hall, meeting room, kitchen and toilets.
A distinctive feature of the plans is a cloister-type courtyard and plans are also under way to fund a sensory garden complete with water feature.
The changes have come about because the parish rooms, added to the church in 1986, are not big or modern enough.
