A POLISH lorry driver was found unconscious about 200 yards from his truck in a Barnsley industrial estate. The man, 25, had serious head injuries when he was discovered at the Rockingham estate at Birdwell last Thursday. He was taken to the Northern General Hospital. Keys were still in the lorry’s ignition and the door was open. The man had been drinking in The Travellers Inn, Sheffield Road, the night before and left the pub at about 11.45pm. Police do not think his injuries are suspicious but want to trace his movements. He is described as white, medium build. He was wearing a black baseball hat, jeans, black chunky boots, green shirt and maroon fleece.
