AN emotional film featuring Sir Michael Parkinson backing a £1m appeal for a new special care baby unit at Barnsley Hospital will receive a big screen premiere at Parkway Cinema.
The Tiny Hearts Appeal aims to create a new purpose-built unit on the same floor as the Barnsley birthing centre, which would be more comfortable for babies and families and give staff extra space to care for them.
The producers of the film, Script Media Group are planning the glitzy premiere which will be on Monday December 8 which will be attended by local celebrities and business leaders as well as families who have been helped by the unit.
