ALMOST £20million has been awarded to Barnsley Council to tackle pot holes over the next six years.
Transport secretary Patrick McLoughlin announced the breakdown of how £6bn will be distributed across the country - enough to fix about 18 million potholes - and £19,812,000 of it will be coming to Barnsley.
It equates to nearly £3.8m in the coming 2015/16 financial year, about £3.4m in the following two years, and just over £3m for the three years after that up to 2021.
