TRIBUTES to a brave young woman who fought cancer with a smile on her face have been paid.

Amy Usher, 22, of Willow Road, Wath, died last Thursday after a two-year battle with oesophageal cancer.

Fundraising in her name has been going on since she was diagnosed and it will continue to do so with more pledging their support to Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity in Sheffield.

Friend Alexandra Goodwin, 22, is one of a number of people who have had tattoos done in tribute.

She said: "Anyone that knew Amy loved her personality. She was a gorgeous girl with a beautiful soul, the best friend you could ever have. I'll miss her every day. She was my sunshine."
