KEY stage three English results have been branded “disappointing” by the council after a four percent drop since last year.
The English score mars an otherwise good year of results, with improvements in maths, science and ICT.
The overall average points score, which includes English, maths and science, has improved in line with the national rate, and Barnsley is now placed 132nd out of 149 in the national league table.
