Transfer listed winger Milan Lalkovic has left Barnsley to sign for League One rivals Walsall on a free transfer.
The Slovakian, 22, who only signed an 18-month-deal in January, was deemed surplus to requirements by head coach Lee Johnson earlier in the summer.
Now Walsall, where Lalkovic once spent a successful loan spell, have secured his services on a one-year contract.
Lalkovic came out on top in Barnsley's summer fitness tests but had been available for transfer alongside midfielder James Bailey since the end of last season.
The former Chelsea player made 17 appearances for Barnsley and becomes the second player to leave Oakwell in as many days after 'keeper Ross Turnbull joined Leeds United yesterday.
