HOYLAND market traders are 'drifting away' before the town's long-awaited market redevelopment even starts, says a stall holder.

Geoff Crossley who sells cleaning products in a market shop unit claims local councillors have 'not been bothered' to talk to traders about what they want and as a result they are looking at other options.

But one councillor said this week that traders should 'stop moaning' and get behind the multi-million pound development.

The plans from developer Resilienti were unveiled to the public in April and show the market moving to a new site on Southgate behind the existing Co-op. There would be new retail behind the town hall and a new supermarket on Market Street to be completed by autumn 2016.
