PARKING problems outside Shafton’s new supermarket have led to verbal abuse, threats and police intervention.
And it has only been open a fortnight.
Residents on the new Ben Bailey estate are complaining that customers at Sainsbury’s store, incorporated within the development, are not using the car park but instead parking on junctions, pavements and even their own private driveways.
They also claim when they tell drivers it’s a private road they just get a load of verbal abuse and threats.
Local police have got involved because cars parked on junctions and the High Street are creating a hazard.
