A WOMAN from Barnsley who cried rape has been fined £90 for wasting police time.
A 33-year-old woman reported she had been raped in the secluded area of Burlington Arcade in the town centre last weekend.
But police said a thorough investigation was carried out, including studying CCTV footage, and officers came to the conclusion there was no evidence to support her claim.
It comes after the a false rape claim made by 13-year-old girl in Barnsley on June 7.
