A PENISTONE cancer victim has pedalled his way to raising funds as a ‘thank you’ for his treatment.
Richard Hodgson, of Bridge Street, was one of 17 who completed a sponsored bike ride on Monday, raising about £350 for cancer research at Weston Park Hospital, Sheffield.
The 24-year-old underwent intense chemotherapy at the hospital after being diagnosed with testicular cancer two years ago. But he is now in full remission and fit enough to complete a 40-mile ride to Manchester, along the Trans-Pennine Trail.
