A TEENAGE music lover organised a one-day festival in town this week.

Lewis Simms put together the One Up, One Down gig at Citrus Rooms and managed to attract bands from across the UK.

On Wednesday Lewis, 18, of Huddersfield Road, was lapping up the atmosphere as well as performing with his own band, Watchtower Theatre.

He said: "It's fantastic. I love the fact I can stand back and see everyone here and think, 'it is me that has put all this together'.

"I hope to do it on an even bigger scale when I'm older because I'm really into the music industry. This is perhaps the biggest event for live music that has been put on in Barnsley apart from the BomFest."
