HOYLANDSWAINE residents are being promised “significant benefits” with a Barnsley Council scheme which will see more parking space created at the village primary school.
It means that in future most staff will be able to park off the road, freeing up more space for parents dropping off or collecting children at the school.
The local authority is putting £40,000 into the project, with the money coming from Section 106 cash acquired as part of the planning deal resulting from the council allowing a new estate of homes to go up at Church Lane.
