KAREN Kanee has spent the past two years waiting and waiting for a life changing telephone call.

The call that will save and transform her life will be from the transplant unit at the Northern General Hospital telling her a kidney has been donated.

The 42-year-old suffers from a rare genetic disorder that caused her kidneys to completely fail in 2013.

She is only kept alive by dialysis three times a week and all her hopes for her future depend on a successful kidney transplant.
