THE beautiful grandfather clock which once stood proudly in the reception of Ardsley House Hotel has turned up in a hotel in Darlington.
It was handmade by a skilled Barnsley craftsman and flying instructor who died in 2014 and last year his sister contacted the Chronicle for help in tracking it down.
It’s taken three months but as a result of the article Anne Lunn was able to discover its whereabouts and has now been to visit the clock and has been treated to afternoon tea by Blackwell Grange Hotel, Darlington, County Durham.
