Stairfoot boxer Matthew Mallin became the Central Area middleweight champion on Saturday night.
Mallin, 25, edged out home man Aston Jolly 95-94 at the Doncaster Dome.
The win is a confidence boost for the Mick Wale-trained fighter who has twice challenged for the English title at light-middleweight.
