A TEAM of youth workers has been ‘pulled out’ of Kendray as police try and tackle antisocial behaviour on the estate.
Kendray residents have complained in recent weeks of a worsening antisocial behaviour problem on the estate after years of the area gradually improving.
The Chronicle understands the youth workers have been removed for ‘health and safety reasons’.
An official council spokesman said: “The current issues of antisocial behaviour in Kendray are being dealt with by the police as part of a multi-agency strategy.
“To support this, the police have requested in the short term that the council’s targeted youth support workers temporarily stop working in the area.”
