A DELEGATION including the Mayor of twin town Gorlovka has sampled the beer named in its honour.

The party visited Acorn Brewery in Wombwell which has been brewing Gorlovka Imperial Stout for a few months.

Managing director Dave Hughes said:"It's the strongest beer we have ever done at six percent. It was intended as a winter warmer, similar to some of the old Russian brews."
