LOCAL teenagers took part in a political debate with university students as part of a three-week enrichment programme at Barnsley College.
Sixth form students who were interested in politics put forward their arguments around the subject of ‘all drugs should be legalised’ in a room set up to look like the House of Commons.
Students were given tips about public speaking before being divided into groups representing Socialist, Liberal, Conservative and Nationalist parties.
