Adam Hammill has signed a new two year deal at Barnsley, ending speculation that he was to sign for Lee Johnson's Bristol City.

The flying winger, 28, who netted wonder goals in both the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final and Play-Off final win, will remain at Oakwell until the end of the 2017-18 season.

His form in leading Barnsley to the Championship attracted a number of clubs but Hammill, who was a free agent, has opted to stay at Oakwell.
