POLICE patrols will continue at a Grimethorpe park which has become an antisocial behaviour hotspot in the village.
Months of fires, damage and littering has seen the children’s play area at Beck Park become strewn with broken glass, bin bags and fire-damaged benches - but PCSOs will continue to visit the area in a bid to get on top of the problems.
A joint operation between South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue - who have sent firefighters to the area to talk to any youths about the dangers of starting fires - and South Yorkshire Police has been ongoing since the matter was brought up at last month’s Community Engagement Meeting (CEM).
