Barnsley owner Patrick Cryne wrote an emotional message to Reds fans in the matchday programme for last night's Carabao Cup win over Derby County.

Cryne, who revealed last year that he has terminal cancer, said he was 'living on borrowed time' and thanked fans for their support.

He also said: "Regarding this season, I think we will get stronger as it goes on and our team gels, not unlike the double Wembley season. I do not expect to live to see the ultimate outcome, but I travel in hope."
