CHILDREN and teenagers in Kendray will be able to find out more about services on offer through a scheme being launched next month.

The Kendray Young People’s Agreement is aimed at youngsters aged 11-19, and will provide information on their roles and responsibilities.

It will also help them and their parents and carers with information on the educational and recreational services provided by Barnsley council’s youth services.

The scheme has been developed by the Kendray Initiative Board with help from other organisations, including the Laying the Foundations (LTF) group.

David Sabin, who works for LTF, said: “Providing good quality opportunities for young people is important to the residents of Kendray.

“This agreement outlines a commitment from youth services to provide a good quality mix of both educational and fun things to do in and around the area.”
