GALA days usually mean rain but not this weekend as families enjoyed the sunshine and attractions at Darfield Gala.
There were lots of activities to choose from ranging from a taekwondo presentation, to theme park and donkey rides.
The day, geared towards children, was a massive success with the cups and saucers ride proving particularly popular amongst the young thrill seekers.
Prizes could be won on the bric a brac stalls including Tigger, a huge favourite from the popular Winnie the Pooh books.
One visitor said: "I am so glad it stayed sunny, the children loved it. It was definitely aimed at the younger generations but provided a good day out for everyone."
