Barnsley boss Mark Robins is refusing to be drawn on speculation linking him with a loan swoop for Blackpool striker Marlon Harewood.
The striker, 31, has scored five goals for Ian Holloway's Premier League side since joining on a free transfer last summer, but he has found himself falling further and further down the Blackpool pecking order.
Sheffield United are also thought to be interested in the much-travelled forward.
Robins has already fetched in five loan players, but Frank Nouble, an unused substitute at Leeds on Tuesday, has just two matches left of his initial loan stint.
The Reds chief told the Chronicle: “You know me, I don’t talk about this rumour or that rumour. That’s not my way. People can speculate all they want. All I will say is that I’m always on the look-out, seeing what’s around."
