Cuts to the police budget will be discussed at a meeting in Barnsley on Monday evening.
Members of the police authority budget focus group want the public to tell them what police priorities should be.
The force has to slash £40m from its budget over four years and authority members are keen to hear how much people would be prepared to pay for policing as part of council tax.
