A headteacher has sent a warning to parents after a man in black car was spotted ‘trying to entice’ young girls.
Julie Allen, of Birkwood Primary on Darfield Road, Cudworth, wrote a letter to parents stating the car had been ‘touring the area... trying to get young girls into it with a man in his 40s’.
It adds: “I have checked the information with PCSOs. Please report any sitings of a suspicious nature to the police.
“Please also ensure your children are aware and remind them not to get in to cars with strangers.”
It is believed the same black car may also have been spotted in Shafton and South Hiendley.
Ms Allen said: “There is no evidence our children have been approached. We acted on information received and felt it was our duty to alert parents to be vigilant.”
