STUDENTS at Darton Academy are celebrating their best ever GCSE results with outcomes again well above national and regional averages.
A huge 64 per cent of pupils achieved a grade five or higher in both English and maths.
Darton Academy is part of Delta Academies Trust, one of the largest multi academy trusts in the north of England.
We are a close-knit community, and we pride ourselves on knowing our pupils well and doing our utmost to ensure everyone fulfils their true potential.
As a result of our journey of continuous improvement, our pupils have achieved another set of fantastic GCSE results this summer, and we continue to go from strength to strength.
Pupils have attained well above the national and regional averages in both maths and English, with 33 students achieving a grade nine in English and 16 students achieving the top grade in maths.
It’s amazing that 28 per cent of all pupils’ results are a grade seven or above.
Darton pupils have continued to achieve above average attainment, building significantly on last year’s outcomes.
We are proud that 81 per cent of the cohort achieve a grade four or above and 71 per cent achieved a grade five and above in maths.
In English, results were equally impressive with 87 per cent achieving grade four and above and 76 per cent grade five or higher.
EBacc performance remains strong, with some stand out results in history where 12 students have achieved a grade nine.
Eight per cent more students achieved grade five or above in geography compared to last year.
Additionally, our linguists have performed exceptionally well with a 100 per cent pass rate in French and a 16 per cent increase in the pupils who achieved grade five or better in Spanish compared to last year.
We could not be prouder of our pupils and teaching staff.
Well done to the cohort of 2025.
As a trust, Delta Academies Trust has also achieved their best results ever and we will continue to work together to ‘change lives’ of pupils at Darton and in the north.
