JOSH Earl and loanee Tawanda Chirewa are back on the grass following injury and head coach Conor Hourihane hopes that he will have a full-strength squad ahead of next week’s South Yorkshire derby with Rotherham.
The Reds have had Earl out with a broken foot while Chirewa was struggling with an ankle problem but are both expected to return in the coming days.
Hourihane also said that all of the players returning from international duty have done so fully-fit.
He added: “We’ve been very fortunate from that point of view.
“It’s been a really food international break with lads being away, getting fitter and stronger.
“Josh Earl has been on the grass and getting stronger but these two games will come just too short for him.
“He’ll be fully in contention to be back involved for Rotherham.
“People like Marc Roberts have been on the grass and Tawanda has come back from Wolves.
“These games will probably come a little bit close for him as well but in terms of actual squad depth and how we look, we’re in a pretty decent position.”
Leo Farrell has also returned to Oakwell following a loan spell at National League Scunthorpe.
The 20-year-old scored four goals in seven games and Hourihane said that he will play some part in the final stages of the season.
