A YOUNG footballer whose leg was broken when he was hit by a car on Racecommon Road will celebrate Christmas at home with his family.
Reece Leo Parkinson-Cole, seven, faced Christmas in hospital a broken right leg and injuries to his head after the accident on December 14.
But the promising footballer, who plays for Wombwell Junior FC's under-eights, has been allowed out.
His mum, Jamie Parkinson, 25, celebrates her birthday tomorrow.
She said: "My birthday wish has come true. He's got his wheelchair and is still in a lot of pain but he's home."
