A PERFORMING arts teacher was touched after theatre managers offered to let her use their venue after thieves stole her equipment.
Debbie Angel runs the Angel Voices Performing Arts School and had organised a charity concert to raise money for repairs to Darton church roof.
But thieves took a PA system, Yamaha mixing desk, LED lighting and a variety of microphones, leaving the future of the concert - and the school - in jeopardy.
But after seeing the story in last week's Chronicle staff at the Academy Theatre in Birdwell have offered to let Debbie, 44, stage her concert at the venue free of charge.
She said: "It's so lovely, I'm very grateful to them. I have accepted their very kind offer and I'm going to meet with them.
"In repayment, I have said we are going to hire the theatre for a concert I had planned for later in the year to raise money for the Barnsley Hospice.
"This is really going to help us out, because we have all been thinking about how we can raise the money together to replace everything we would need."
